Use of Aircraft

If you are flying in Barren-Ground Caribou Management Area R/BC/01, you must wait 12 hours after landing before hunting caribou. If you are flying within the Outfitter Areas in the Mackenzie Mountains, you must wait 12 hours after landing before hunting any big game. This is to prevent aircraft from giving hunters more than a sporting chance. It does not stop licenced outfitters from making preparations for the hunt.

Helicopters cannot be used for any purpose connected with hunting in Barren-Ground Caribou Management Area R/BC/01 or U/BC/01. Contravention of the regulations governing helicopter use carries a fine and/or jail sentence.
